HIGH-FLOW EMISSIONS REDUCTION FOR OFF-ROAD, RACE, AND PRE-1973 VEHICLES — G-SPORT OBD2 NON-EPA
NOTE: These Non-EPA G-Sport catalytic converters carry a lighter loaded catalyst — they reduce all regulated emissions to a lesser degree than the EPA-compliant line and are not EPA compliant. The elimination of a check engine light cannot be assured. They are best suited to applications where the vehicle never came with a catalytic converter from the OEM (vehicle years 1973 and older) and to off-road use such as trail or race.
The G-Sport OBD2 Non-EPA Catalytic Converter (10025) brings the same construction as the EPA-compliant line — GESi's 300 CPSI S-Wound metallic substrate, furnace-brazed and Double-Lock canned in 300 Series stainless steel — at a lighter catalyst loading and a lower price, for 2.500" exhaust systems on builds where emissions compliance is not required but running fully catless is not wanted: tamed exhaust smell, reduced emissions, and an OEM-style appearance.
FEATURES
-
300 CPSI S-Wound metallic substrate — thinner cell walls than ceramic mean more open flow area per cell
-
Lighter catalyst loading — meaningful emissions and odor reduction at a motorsport-friendly price
-
Nickel-lined, furnace-brazed core with Double-Lock canning — the substrate cannot telescope or fail under boost
-
300 Series stainless steel construction inside and out; withstands spikes up to 1,600°F
-
Not EPA compliant — for pre-1973 and off-road/competition use only; CEL elimination not assured

APPLICATIONS & FITMENT
Built for race and trail vehicles, kit cars, and street vehicles from 1973 and older that never came with a factory converter — anywhere you want exhaust cleanup without emissions paperwork. If your vehicle needs to pass emissions or keep a check engine light off, use the EPA-compliant line instead: Gen1 HO 2.500" (50022) for 1996–2016 vehicles or Gen2 HO 2.500" (50225) for 2017 and newer.

INSTALLATION NOTES
This is a weld-in converter for 2.500" exhaust tubing. Install with leak-free joints and adequate clearance from wiring and heat-sensitive components. Full best practices, common mistakes, and a pre-flight checklist are in our G-Sport Installation Guidelines.
