The GenV Electronic ProGate50 is Turbosmart’s 50mm fully electronic wastegate, built on the proven GenV ProGate50 architecture and engineered for applications requiring high flow capacity with advanced electronic boost control. By eliminating traditional pneumatic actuation, the ProGate50 eWG removes the limitations associated with springs, hoses, and boost reference signals.
Utilizing Turbosmart’s established GenV wastegate body, the Electronic ProGate50 maintains the same mounting orientation and flange compatibility as the pneumatic ProGate50, allowing it to integrate seamlessly with existing manifolds and outlet hardware. The GenV ProGate50 platform is known for its class-leading flow performance and thermal durability, now enhanced by Turbosmart’s patent-pending electronic actuator system.
With no internal springs or boost reference plumbing, boost pressure is no longer restricted by base spring pressure or heat-related hose degradation. Provided sufficient exhaust energy and control authority, boost targets can be set anywhere across the operating range directly through your tuning interface. Control is achieved via a dual half-bridge output, similar to electronic throttle body control, enabling advanced boost strategies defined entirely by the ECU or controller.
For systems without an available dual half-bridge output, Turbosmart offers a dedicated electronic wastegate controller that supports up to two independent channels using simple PWM inputs or more advanced CAN-based control.
