The GenV Electronic PowerGate60 is Turbosmart’s 60mm fully electronic external wastegate, engineered for extreme-flow turbocharged applications where precise, repeatable boost control is critical. Built on the proven GenV PowerGate60 architecture, this electronic wastegate removes the mechanical limitations of traditional pneumatic control while retaining the robust flow and thermal performance the PowerGate series is known for.
Using Turbosmart’s established GenV wastegate body, the Electronic PowerGate60 maintains identical mounting orientation and flange compatibility to the pneumatic PowerGate60. This allows straightforward integration with existing exhaust manifolds and outlet plumbing while delivering significantly expanded control capability through its patent-pending electronic actuator system.
With no springs, hoses, or boost reference signals, boost control is no longer constrained by base spring pressure or heat-related hose degradation. When sufficient exhaust energy is available, boost targets can be commanded anywhere across the operating range directly through your tuning interface. Control is handled via a dual half-bridge output, similar to electronic throttle body control, enabling advanced ECU-driven strategies defined entirely by the tuner.
For vehicles or systems without an available dual half-bridge output, Turbosmart offers the BlackBox Electronic Wastegate Controller, providing up to two independent control channels using PWM or CAN-based inputs in a single standalone unit.
