The Turbosmart Electronic StraightGate eSG76 External Wastegate is the highest-flowing external wastegate Turbosmart has ever produced. Featuring a massive 76Â mm zero-offset butterfly valve, the eSG76 is engineered for applications requiring extreme exhaust bypass capacity, near-linear boost control, and absolute stability under the highest exhaust drive pressures.
Built on the success of Turbosmart’s award-winning electronic StraightGate platform, the eSG76 eliminates the limitations of traditional wastegates by removing springs, diaphragms, and reference hoses entirely. Instead, boost control is handled electronically via an integrated servo motor and Turbosmart’s zero-backdrive gearbox, allowing precise valve positioning with reduced current demand and exceptional resistance to exhaust backpressure.
The zero-offset butterfly valve design exposes both sides of the valve to equal exhaust pressure, creating a self-balancing valve that requires minimal actuation force even at extreme drive pressures. This enables faster response, improved control resolution, and the widest tuning window possible. The straight-through flow path further enhances efficiency by eliminating the 90-degree exhaust redirection found in conventional poppet-style wastegates, resulting in dramatically increased flow capability.
The eSG76 includes onboard actuator temperature and valve position sensors, available in both analog (0–5V) and digital (PWM) outputs, enabling advanced boost control strategies, real-time monitoring, and precise calibration. With appropriate exhaust manifold priority, the StraightGate76 can provide control from near-zero boost to maximum boost with unmatched repeatability.
Manufactured from high-temperature stainless steel materials and validated in-house, the eSG76 is designed for the most demanding motorsport environments. Integrated liquid cooling provisions further enhance actuator stability and longevity when exposed to sustained high exhaust temperatures.
