304 STAINLESS FLEX COUPLING - MAX TEMPERATURE & MAX ANGLE DATA

Exhaust Flex Couplings with Interlock Liner | Ace Race Parts

Our line of Interlock Liner style Flex Couplings are manufactured using 100% 304 Stainless Steel components and help dramatically reduce vibration and stress within your exhaust system — whether you're using our Flex Couplings in a high horsepower race car, a heavy duty diesel truck, a generator, or any other automotive or industrial application. Offered in a wide range of sizes and overall lengths, our Flex Couplings are a durable and affordable solution to increasing the longevity of your exhaust system.

304 Stainless Interlock Liner Flex Couplings feature a braided exterior, a 2-ply internal flex bellow, and a smooth-flowing non-directional interlock style inner liner — all secured in place by formed end caps. All of the components of our Flex Couplings, including the end caps, are manufactured from 100% 304 Stainless Steel — which is something that many other manufacturers, distributors, and retailers don't or won't offer. Oftentimes, other brand name Flex Coupling are manufactured with 400 series Stainless (a cheaper grade of Stainless Steel that is subject to higher levels of corrosion and requires a different welding wire when welded to 304 Stainless) components, especially the end caps. We are proud to offer a 100% 304 Stainless Steel constructed Flex Coupling that can withstand even the harshest conditions.

INTERLOCK LINER FLEX COUPLING FEATURES

  • 100% 304 Stainless Steel Construction, Including End Caps
  • Smooth Flowing Interlock Liner (non-directional)
  • Slip-Fit Design Allows for Ease of Use
  • Max. Temperature Rating: 800°C / 1472°F
  • Max. Axial Deflection Angle Range: 3°-9° (length dependent)

We are often asked about the Maximum Operating Temperature and the Maximum Axial Deflection Angle, or the maximum angle of movement, our Flex Couplings are able to handle. The maximum axial deflection angle that our Flex Coupling are able to handle is directly related to the overall length of the coupling itself. For shorter lengths, like our 4" overall length couplings, the maximum angle is 3°. For longer couplings, like our 10" overall length couplings, the maximum angle is quite a bit higher at 9°. Below is a table that shows both the maximum axial deflection angle, as well as the maximum operating temperature for all of our Flex Couplings.
